the real American coup succeeded: Republican Party became White Supremacist Party

I posted this chuckle below on Facebook yesterday, having no clue what it would attract and lead me to stark conclusion that the real coup succeeded: the Republican Party became the White Supremacist Party.

Sloan Bashinsky
In a dream last night, some Trump lovers I know in real life were squeezed into getting vaccinated and then they claimed God, not the vaccine, had saved them from catching Covid-19.

Patricia
Well this explains a lot about your mindset

Sloan Bashinsky
An angel, most likely, Michael, created that dream to give me a chuckle, while I was dealing with several really rough patches in the so-called real world.

Michael
I don’t know why you would think that any Trump supporter would oppose a vaccine that he created through Operation Warp Speed. I want everyone to get vaccinated, but it’s their choice. I was vaccinated some 3 months ago.

Sloan Bashinsky
I know Republicans who got vaccinated, and I know Republicans in real life and on Facebook who are as opposed to wearing masks and getting vaccinated as they are convinced the election was stolen from Trump, and nothing on this world, and maybe not even God, can persuade them out of either stance. I ask the vaccine resisters, if they catch Covid-19 and are coughing up lung tissue, should they be allowed into ER and ICU where they are a lethal threat to hospital personnel and patients? Back when the shutdown occurred over a year ago, I started asking anti-mask people if they came up to me on the street and got into my face, could I shoot them in self defense? They liked that question about as much as they liked my question about them being denied ER and hospital privileges.

Michael
The few people that I know who refuse to be vaccinated don’t trust the government based on past government medical experimentation. I’m not a Trumpist but find it troubling that Democrats refuse to even consider voter fraud. 2020 is over and Republicans need to concentrate on 2022 and 2024. I, for one want to vote for someone like Tim Scott, Nikki Hailey, DeSantis, or Rand Paul. Republican principles without the dose of Bat Shit Crazy that is Donald Trump.

Sloan Bashinsky
Let's see. Trump's Attorney General said there was no evidence of voter fraud that would have changed the outcome. Trump's Homeland Security director and FBI director came to same conclusion. State election officials, many were Republican, came to same conclusion. Posses of state and federal judges came to same conclusion. Trump-packed U.S. Supreme Court declined to get involved at Trump's behest. In the face of that, the Democrats, and any sane person, would be insane to consider voter fraud in the 2020 general election. Leaving me to conclude you are insane, and you have a great deal of company in the red spectrum.

Michael
Allegations of voter fraud need to be investigated whether or not the results would change. Don’t you want fair elections? I sure do. I want every legal vote to be counted. Don’t resort to incivility or name calling. It’s unbecoming of you.

Sloan Bashinsky
The votes were counted, and in close result states recounted, and in Georgia recounted twice, and nothing changed, and you know that, and about the posses of judges and Supreme Court and US Attorney General and Homeland Security and FBI and, you have convinced me you are insane, as has much of the red spectrum. You know I am not a Democrat. Democrats certainly know I am not one of them.

Michael
Like I said 2020 is over and Republicans need to concentrate on 2022 and 2024. That includes preventing voter fraud.

Sloan Bashinsky
How about you and the Republicans in and out of Congress and the MAGAs and Trump admit there was no voter fraud, they made it up because getting beat by Joe Biden fair and square was too much for their red snowflake egos to bear?
I have thought and published, the mob that invaded the Capitol at Trump's direction should get down on their knees and thank God the Capitol police did not empty their guns into them, which those police had the right and duty to do, because they were protecting the Capitol and Congress members, who were certifying the election.
What the Republicans need to do, the ones in Congress, and the rest of them, is tell Trump he lost fair and square, he is not welcome in their Party, and if he doesn't leave their party alone, they will start a new party. Of course, they won't do that. The Father of Lies has them right where He wants them.

Michael
Don’t expect Donald Trump to be the Republican Party nominee in 2024. I do expect the policies he promoted to be in the Party platform. I do agree that lots of Republicans can’t fathom a world where Joe Biden gets more votes than Obama. He’s a retail politician, for goodness sake! DT lost the election by being DT. The Republican Party has to and will move on.
People like Tim Scott are the future of the Republican Party, and I welcome their ascendency.

Sloan Bashinsky
Turned out Trump was the snowflake. He got himself beat. He attempted a coup based in stolen election lies he’s still spewing and all but a few Republicans in Congress are parroting him. Lucifer loves them and they claim God is with them. Heil Trump!!!

Michael
Any Nazi reference is verboten. Yes, Trump beat himself.

Sloan Bashinsky
Yep, and look at the Congressional Republicans clicking their heels.

Michael
With Biden pushing a liberal agenda, what would you have them do? Trump’s policies worked, and Biden is throwing them out with the bath water. Wasn’t he supposed to be a uniter? The days of the country club Republican Party are over. We have to reach out to everyone with an agenda that advocates fiscal responsibility and individual freedom. American exceptionalism attracts people from all over the world. I don’t see a flood of immigrants going to China or Russia. I’m out. Have a nice evening.

Sloan Bashinsky
Policy is one thing, tearing up a real Republican like Elizabeth Cheney, because she dared to call out Trump on his stolen election lies and attempted coup is something else altogether. Joe Biden has nothing to do with any that, and you know it, as do some Republicans I know really well, but they prefer sucking up to Trump, to sucking up to truth, God, and the same thing did in fact happen in Nazi Germany.

Sloan Bashinsky
This is the book Ivana let out Trump kept in a cabinet on his side of their bed and sometimes at night he pulled it out and read it.

Michael
Sloan, just not buying that because Trump was his own favorite author.

Why do I let you suck me into political discussions? I’m trying to swear them off....

Lauren
Michael, they absolutely were investigated. Good Lord you people just don’t stop! If everything Sloan just mentioned isn’t enough... Please tell me this... What actually will make you believe it wasn’t stolen? If Trump himself has to say it.. well that will never happen but why don’t you believe his people?! I’m so over this massive lie you’ve all fallen for.
Trump got hammered everyday in the press bc he’s a child who couldn’t be the bigger person and let the stupid stuff roll off. Every single President in US history gets criticized incessantly. They don’t respond to most of it. Trump had to fire back at every Joe blow who said he had small hands so of course it made national news!

Michael
Lauren, I can agree with that. Loved his policies, disliked his childishness. He was his own worst enemy.
I never said the election was stolen. I did say that allegations of voter fraud should be investigated to insure the integrity of the process.

Lauren
Michael, thank goodness. Everyone wants free and fair elections. This is just a really volatile time to bring up voter fraud. Thank you for being cordial. Sorry. I’m just really over the big lie.

Michael
Kinda like Liberals screaming Racism?

Sloan Bashinsky
Michael, that’s the problem, the fraud allegations were investigated, and investigated, and investigated, and here you in this discussion carrying on as if there needs to be more investigation. The Republican Party is now the Trump Party. That coup succeeded.

Lauren
Michael, until the right admits they were wrong and tells their supporters there was no fraud in 2020... no one will ever take voter fraud seriously. I’m not a democrat either but the phrase drives me crazy. Every single person on the left will consider anyone looking into voter fraud or passing laws to prevent it to be clinging to the big lie until the right admits it was indeed a lie told by severely damaged man with an insanely fragile ego. The right is it’s own worst enemy when it comes to voter fraud.

Sloan Bashinsky
Beautifully said, Lauren
Michael was married to Trump when he was supposed to be married to Ivana? I read a news report some time ago about Trump being asked about Hitler's book in his cabinet on his side of their bed, and Trump's reply was, if he owned such a book, he never read it.

Michael
Sloan, your problem is you rely on a biased media. Good night, Sloan.

Sloan Bashinsky
Such as this biased media?

Michael
I have repeatedly condemned the events of 1/6 while Liberals continue to excuse the violence in Baltimore, St. Louis, Portland, and Seattle. The world has gone mad.......

Sloan Bashinsky
You need to clean up your side's garbage, I work hard trying to get the Democrats to clean up their garbage, you can do it that way if you don't have allegiance to either side, The Republican Party has become the Trump White Supremacist Party, and I can show you lots of photos that prove it. As long as you talk about investigating voter fraud, I will view you as the same as those white supremacists in that photo you say you condemned, even though their reason to be there was they thought the election was stolen and they went there to take it back for Herr Trump.

Michael
More minorities voted Republican in 2020 than in any Presidential election in history. How does it make them a white supremacist Party? Our rising stars are women and minorities, and it’s about time.
I’m done. It’s bed time.

Sloan Bashinsky
That's why Biden got 7,000,000 more popular votes than Trump, right? That's why Biden won the urban areas, right?

Lauren
Michael, they do scream it at inappropriate times. I agree. Rioting and violence is always wrong but look at the difference in response? Everyone knew Trump was rallying that day. Even my nobody self knew Trump was a desperate man with no other option than to overthrow the Government. Yet there was virtually no security. When BLM planned a protest the Capitol was blockaded and the national guard called in days ahead. I could have flown to DC, rented a car and still would have made it to the Capitol before the guard was called in on Jan 6. And this wasn’t just some city street it was the US Capitol! THAT is systemic racism. The automatic belief that whites aren’t there to hurt anyone but blacks are.
The black community is fighting for something we ALL deserve. Equal treatment under the law. Trump made those people think they were fighting for something they too deserved! Our democracy almost went out the window and those people are now getting ripped away from their families and sent to federal prison. All bc of a pathetic man’s abuse of power and inability to admit he lost. So excuse me if I have no tolerance for anyone who still supports not just the lie but the MAN who caused it all.

Michael
Lauren, I cringe at the term “systemic racism.” Just not buying into any notion that any race is racist. Trump wasn’t racist, in spite of the Left’s attempt to label him one. He’s a egotistical idiot who proposed economic ideas I agreed with. He was the anti-Obama. I’m done with this thread and with politics until Sloan draws me in again.

Sloan Bashinsky
You drew yourself in, Michael. Your FB profile says you grew up in Birmingham, Alabama area, as did I, and that you live in the Vestavia suburb. I suggest you drive to the Linn-Henley Research Library near the main downtown library and ask the librarian there to help you select some books on systemic white racism just in Birmingham area. After you read up on that, then drive over to the Civil Rights Museum in Kelly Ingram Park, and sit there for a few hours, pondering those graphic white racism era sculptures done by a white Mountain Brook woman, Elizabeth MacQueen, which did not make her popular in that upscale white Birmingham suburb.

Then, walk about a block to the 16th Street Baptist Church, which you read at Linn-Henley Research Library was bombed by Georgia Klansmen. Then, look at the photo again of the white Confederate Flag waving mob that captured the U.S. Capitol. Then, ponder what all you read about George Wallace while you were at the Linn-Henley Research Library.

Michael
I’ve done all that. I just refuse the term as its used as a means to promote division. Screaming racism about everything is nothing more than a means to silence legitimate debate and understanding. Democrats use the term as a bludgeon. Funny, as they were the ones opposed to the Civil Rights Act. I’m turning notifications for this thread off now. Enjoy your day!

Sloan Bashinsky
Had your discussion rules prevailed when I was growing up, there would be no Civil Rights Acts, because there would have been no systemic white racism to discuss. I can imagine if BLM had stormed the Capitol, the Capitol police would have emptied their guns. I can imagine the unspoken is, it was blacks that stole the 2020 presidential election from Trump.
