Oh, yeah? God doesn't get involved in politics and sports?

Former Obama voter turned Trump voter Sancho Panza continued his and my discussion of voting karma in yesterday's post: The Ukraine factor: Trump like Chernobyl when it melted down, Biden like Chernobyl today

The real meaning of Karma is not what most people understand at all, it is not divine retribution! It just means to be part of the ever changing phenomena that we call our life, our reality, it just means to act, to partake... whenever you act  with a specific "intention", consequences follow... it is your expectations that create what you might call bad karma! I am fine with my choices and my intentions, hope you are with yours! 😀

Wu-Wei to you! 😀

I replied:

MAGAs are fine with their choices, Evangelical's with theirs, Trump with his,  Biden with his, Republicans with theirs, Democrats with theirs. I fret about my karma, because have seen in this life plenty I generated earlier in this life and in past lives, which taught me that people don't control how their karma plays out in this life, or later, and karma is not, per say, "bad"; what we do, for good and bad, and in between, determines our karma, which can be overridden by beings far higher up the pecking order than us.

In that human and cosmic general ball park, wide-ranging civil  discussion with another Trump backer, who turned out to be a longtime Auburn Tigers fan.

God is a Bama fan. It’s Biblical....

Sloan
Conversely, God is not a Donald Trump fan.

Michael
God only takes sides in sports...

Sloan
Dream on

Michael
have a nice evening. I’m really an Auburn Tiger fan...

Sloan
Once upon a time, Florida State had a super star QB named Jameis Winston (sp?), from Birmingham area, who raped a FS coed and the local DA and FS whitewashed it. FS and Alabama were top ranked, looked like headed to BSC game. It fell on Alabama, since Winston was from there, to announce it would not play FS if Winston was on the team. Alabama didn't do that. Favored over Auburn, oops, that was the year of the 100-yard failed kickoff runback and Auburn was to play FS instead. The onus then fell on Auburn to decline to play FS if Winston was on the team. Auburn didn't do that. Auburn nearly ran off with the game in the first half, should have but didn't quite, and Winston went on a roll in 2nd half and FS won. That year, God wasn't on Alabama or Auburn's sides, because they dropped the ball, so to speak.
Now don't think I think God gets involved in lots of football games, for I don't think that is so. But some games are really important because of accompanying spiritual factors, and those were two such games.

Michael
I was trying to inject a little humor. Jamus and Deon [Sanders] broke my AU heart while playing for FSU but I’d mostly recovered, until you mentioned it. Thanks.......snif, wimper, sob.......

Sloan
condolences

Michael
I really need to move out of the SEC to somewhere that no one cares about college football. I’m thinking about Ohio....your thoughts?

Sloan
There was humor in how the Ga-Al game went, if you factor in what preceded it, but so far I haven't even had even one Democrat acknowledge it.

Michael
College football will kill me or give me a stroke. I’ve really got to quit it but like any addiction, it’s really hard.

Sloan
I can't seem to help myself being an Alabama fan. Rehab didn't help.
Have had numerous dreams of Alabama football games bearing messages from above for me having nothing to do with Alabama football, but with things I was dealing with in my waking life, and how it was going could go differently if I did this or that, or not that or this.

Michael
Like I said, God is a Bama fan!

Sloan
God, or an angel more likely, use many things familiar to me in my dreams to steer me. All of my dreams are like that, at night, during naps. I dream profusely.
The Florida State/Winston saga was example of evil prevailing when good men do nothing.
Coach Saban's coronavirus saga and the final score in the Alabama-Georgia game is an example of God favoring a super prominent white man defying President Trump and his Republican political party by wearing a facemask at work and when he led a school athletes black lives matter march to where George Wallace had stood blocking blacks entering the University of Alabama.

Michael
Sports should not be political because it alienates a portion of the fan base. Look at how it damaged the NFL and NBA.

Sloan
That's one view. But what did Jesus say?
“No one can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or else he will be loyal to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and mammon." Matthew 6:24 KJV
Looks to me that Coach Saban was more concerned about his relationship with God than what President Trump, Republicans and MAGAs thought about him.

Michael
Render unto Caesar what is Caesar’s and unto God what is God’s.
If you think that Biden and Harris are anything other than retail politicians, without any principle other than lining their pockets, you are sadly mistaken.

Sloan
So, Trump is Caesar? All hail Trump, who hates facemasks and BLM? God's answer to that is Coach Saban and the Alabama-Georgia score.
I don't think Coach Saban is a saint, but he is the premier college football coach today, and he did walk with God that day with his players and other school athletes.'

Michael
No, Caesar is the Government. You can dislike Trump the person and still vote for his policies. He had done what he said he would do.
I suppose some will say Dabo Swinney at Clemson is the premier college football coach, but I wonder how Clemson would fare if it played in the SEC instead of the ACC?

Michael
Clemson and Alabama are clearly the two best teams this year. Hopefully they will play for the National Championship.

Sloan
Yes, Caesar is the government, but Trump is part of the government, and this saga was a Rubicon over which Coach Saban walked with God, President Trump, the Republican Party and the MAGAs notwithstanding. We have yet to see what Ohio State looks like this year. And I don't see Clemson being tested in the ACC, but it does have a really good team. With the coronavirus roaming, there is no telling how the rest of the college, or pro, football season will go.

Michael
Sloan Bashinsky just remember that Biden has been in Government for over 40 years and has done nothing but line his pockets. As to football, the Virus has sucked all the fun out of sports this year

Sloan
Biden has done more than line his pockets, but he indeed is a career politician and the Democrats could have done much better, I really like Tulsi Gabbard, but Biden is not President and the way the virus was met and dealt with falls on Trump, to whom God gave the cure in late March vis Dr Zelenko, and Trump blew it, instead of using it to save America economy, business, social, church, education fabric, including sports.

Michael
There is no cure and the science keeps shifting. I’m not blaming DT for this. I’m not blaming God, either.

Sloan
Indeed there is a cure, if it is used when the infection onsets, which takes hospitals out of it altogether, and Dr. Zelenko provided the cure, and that is the truly great catastrophe President Trump could have prevented by making the cure freely available in America. That was his God assignment, and he buried it in the ground, so to speak, after he had called it a miracle and he had used it to prevent catching the virus after some of his staff tested positive, but there was no money for Big Pharma in hydrxychloroquine, zinc and azithromycin, while Big Pharma, happily happily dining on Operation Warp Speed funding billion$$$. Please don't feel picked on, the Democrats and most of the American news services (except for parts of FOX) rejected Dr. Zelenko, too.

Michael
The medical “experts” and “science” dispute Zelenko do he’s vilified. I take Zinc and Vitamin C at the first sign of a cold and my cold is gone in 2 days. Medical “science” is clearly a moving target.
The MSM has conveniently forgotten the very low mortality rate of Covid because it doesn’t fit their narrative.

Sloan
That is correct about medical "science". It was known for years that hydroxychloroquine transported zinc into body cells, where zinc defeated earlier virus strains from replicating. Dr. Zelelnko either knew that or researched and learned it. It also was known for years that a symptom of zinc deficiency was loss of taste and smell, and Dr. Zelenko knew that or researched it. A symptom of coronavius is loss of taste and smell. Dots connect. Zelenko used azithromycin to kill ancillary infections. 5 day cure. Dirt cheap compared to what Trump received after he tested positive. Zelenko later said that quercetin, which requires no prescription, also was known for years to transport zinc into body cells. You might wish to add quercetin to your daily regimen, therefore. I take quercetin every other day, zinc and C every day. If I catch the virus, or seem to have symptoms, I will take a great deal more of quercetin, zinc and C daily, until it is over. [Michael "liked" that comment.]
