During the night of September 8-9, 2001, a familiar voice asked me in my sleep, "Will you make a prayer for a Divine Intervention for all of humanity?" I woke up, wondered what that was about, made the prayer, went back to sleep.
On September 11, 2001, my concern was America would start another Vietnam-like war. It didn't occur to me that America would start two such wars.
A few days later, as I left a U.S. Post Office, I heard, "America needs to get out of the Middle East altogether."
I'm reading Nelson DeMille's chilling novel, WILD FIRE, which I recently found on a free book shelf in a local library. I had read the novel years before, and other of DeMille's novels. He's a very good writer.
The novel's premise is: After 9/11, the U.S. Government developed a secret protocol, WILD FIRE, to nuke a couple of hundred cities in Islam following a nuclear terrorist attack on an American city. When the Soviet Union fell apart, a lot of Soviet suitcase nukes got loose. A secret patriotic American cabal has acquired some of those suitcase nukes. The cabal consists of a few very high-rank American officials and one businesman. They are just about to nuke two American cities. The cabal's businessman leader is convinced that is the only way to defeat Islam, and God and Jesus are fully behind their mission.
I normally enjoy Heather's letters. I see she put a great deal of work into this 9/11 letter, to which I am responding. But I think by now Heather and Mr. DeMille should have grave doubts regarding what Americans were told by their national government about 9/11.
I am not a pilot. I have flown a good bit on commercial airliners, and in small private aircraft, including in the cockpit.
I cannot wrap my mind around how amateur hijacker pilots, who had never trained in flying those huge airliners, were able to make the precise maneuvers and score direct hits on the Twin Towers and the Pentagon. That just doesn't pass my smell test.

The NY Times article says the 9/11 hijacker pilots had to be highly skilled. Perhaps they were, but where did they get their training, and if they were highly skilled, why did they attend basic flight school training after arriving in America?
Of the 19 9/11 hijackers, 15 were Saudis. After 9/11, a bunch of important Saudis, some with ties to Osama bin Laden, were allowed to leave America, while America's borders were otherwise closed to departures. The same American government soon made up that there were weapons of mass destruction in Iraq, which justified America invading Iraq.

In 2005, I met a man who said he was in the CIA when France was trying to retake Vietnam. His CIA unit was stationed in Vietnam. It's mission was to try to help Ho Chi Minh defeat the French, so America could have access to Vietnam's natural resources, especially its rubber trees. At the same time, the American government was publicly pretended to back France. Ho wanted to do business with America, but it asked for too much. Not caring for Red China, Ho turned to the Soviet Union for help.
After President John F. Kennedy got cold feet about expanding America's military presence in Vietnam, he was killed. After Dr. Martin Luther King turned against the Vietnam war, as a rich white man's war, he was killed.
I watched Ross Perot beg the first President Bush on Larry King Live not to rescue Kuwait from Iraq. Perot told Bush and America that he'd had business dealings with Arabs, and he got skinned every time and quit having business dealings with them, because they didn't think like Americans think. Perrot told President Bush that Arabs frequently get into squabbles, go into a tent, talk, come out arm in arm. Perot told President Bush that Iraq would sell Kuwait's oil to America, no rescue of Kuwait was necessary.
Not generally known at that time, Iraq's leader Saddam Hussein, an American ally against Iran, had asked the American ambassador if America had a position on Iraq taking part of Kuwait, which Iraq had long viewed as part of Iraq? To liberate Kuwait, the American-led Coalition Forces needed a nearby convenient base of operations, which Saudi Arabia provided. Letting infidel forces station in Islam Holy Land infuriated Osama bin Laden, who had been an American ally against the Soviets in Afghanistan. Thus began Osama's war against America, which led to September 11, 2001.
in 2004, Al Jazeera received a video in which Osama bin Laden spoke to Americans. He said the current administration [Bush-Cheney] was easy to bait. His and al Qaeda's goal was to bleed and bankrupt America, like he and the Mujahideen had bled the Soviets in Afghanistan. What happened on September 11, 2001 was horrible. What was kept from the American public by its own intelligence services and government was even more horrible.
Where did the expert pilots come from, to man those giant airliners? Could those giant airliners have been steered remotely by American specialists?
Were the second President Bush and Dick Cheney in a secret cabal dedicated to America ruling the world? Heather's letter mentions such a scenario.
How did that cabal's plans work out in Afghanistan, in Iraq? Elsewhere? Is America safer? Are Americans safer?
9/11 birthed Homeland Security. Is that America's version of the Taliban? Of the KGB? Of George Orwell's Big Brother in his novel,1984?
I watched the 2nd president Bush, when he was still in office, say on TV that he wasn't interested in Osama bin Laden any more. Osama was an old man hiding somewhere in a cave.
I watched President Obama accept the Nobel Prize for Peace, as he continued waging the two Bush-Cheney wars. Was President Obama the Divine Intervention that failed?
I watched President Trump say on TV that Afghanistan and Iraq's natural recourses (minerals, in Afghanistan, oil in Iraq) should be monetized to repay America for those two wars.

Dick Cheney ran Haliburton before he became Vice President in charge of America at War.
Americans like me believed President Truman dropped two atomic bombs on Japan to win World War II in the Pacific. In 2004 or perhaps 2005, I read in a national magazine, I think it was the revived "Life", an article, which contained photostat of an excerpt from President Truman's handwritten diary, in which he wrote that he dropped the A-bombs on Japan to intimidate the Russians. The Russians were talking about invading some of upper Japan before the two A-bombs were dropped. I tried several times since reading that article to find it online, including today, and was not able to find it.
Unfortunately, Americans can never, ever trust what their national government tells them about war. It's always skewed, spun. Always.
