For aught that appears, hard-core Republicans would rather crap in the woods than deal with the hard facts of the Capitol invasion incited by their president, who should spend the rest of his days in Guantanamo

Two hard-core Republicans wrote to me on Facebook about the Capitol invasion incited by their president:

Robert

Interesting the policeman that was allegedly murdered with a fire extinguisher, showed no blunt force trauma. DC medical examiner. Sometimes we need to wait till the facts are in before we make inflammatory statements. Have heard nothing about the unarmed women who was shot.

In the law is the doctrine of res ipsa loquitur - the thing speaks for itself. Odds slim Officer Sicknick died of natural causes during that mob riot. I have have heard nothing from Trump about anyone who died in the riot he incited. If I were a federal prosecutor, I already would be convening a Grand Jury to indict Trump for those deaths, the damage to the Capitol, etc.

Robert

res ipsa is in civil law not criminal. The police officer was found not responsive at his office and died at hospital.

His brother reported calling and speaking with him at his office after the violent protest. The officer said nothing to his brother about being struck with anything.

Sloan Bashinsky

I know res ipsa is civil, I used it to simply make a point. Officer Sicknick was alive, he was in the riot, he then died. Heck with impeaching Trump. Put him in Guantanamo for his remaining days; his Elba.

Did you see this article about Office Sicknick, in which his brother and other family members are quoted?

“This Political Climate Got My Brother Killed”: Officer Brian Sicknick Died Defending the Capitol. His Family Waits for Answers.
PROPUBLICA.ORG

excerpts:

Before the officer’s death had officially been announced late Thursday, the Sicknick family was rushing from its home in New Jersey to see him in a Washington-area hospital as word circulated on social media that a Capitol Police officer had succumbed to grave injuries.

Last they had heard, Sicknick was in critical condition on a ventilator, according to family members who spoke to ProPublica. While some news reports had said an unnamed officer was in critical condition after being bludgeoned with a fire extinguisher, family members did not have details of his injuries. They say Sicknick had texted them Wednesday night to say that while he had been pepper-sprayed, he was in good spirits. The text arrived hours after a mob’s assault on the Capitol had left more than 50 officers injured and five people dead.

“He texted me last night and said, ‘I got pepper-sprayed twice,’ and he was in good shape,” said Ken Sicknick, his brother, as the family drove toward Washington. “Apparently he collapsed in the Capitol and they resuscitated him using CPR.”

But the day after that text exchange, the family got word that Brian Sicknick had a blood clot and had had a stroke; a ventilator was keeping him alive.

“We weren’t expecting it,” his brother said.

As apparently premature news of Sicknick’s death spread in law enforcement circles, the U.S. Capitol Police Department remained silent, including no response to an early request for confirmation from ProPublica on Thursday evening. The family learned from reporter phone calls that something was wrong.

“We have not gotten any calls,” Ken Sicknick said when first contacted. Brian Sicknick was the youngest of three siblings, all boys. “We’re kind of overwhelmed right now. You guys are getting reports of his death before I even got anything.”

Nearly an hour later, the department issued a statement rebutting news reports that an officer had died. The department finally reported that Sicknick had died at 9:30 p.m. Thursday, adding that this was the result of injuries sustained during the attack the previous day.

By the time family members reached the hospital, they say, Sicknick was dead.

Actually....we've heard next to nothing about what actually happened....with the exception of sensational, inflammatory images. We've heard nothing about the rumors that the Capitol Police had made strong requests from Congressional leadership that they get massive support from other agencies. And...that that request was denied. If true.....why? Why is there no hue and cry from the media for an in-depth investigation as to what actually happened. Why were there images of what appeared to be uniformed Capitol police standing by and simply watching ......or actually leading the invaders. Why? Who?

Sloan Bashinsky

Sensational inflammatory images, try reams of actual raw film footage with sound, created by the Republicans' make America great again president and his mob, who, their head goon, should spend the rest of his days in Guantanamo, and many of them should spend long stretches of time in secure federal prisons, since he didn't pardon them.

As for the Capitol police, I read several articles that they turned down offers of help from other law enforcement and national guard, and as for the police who seemed to be in on it with the mob, well, that's for federal prosecutors to deal with, along with the mob and their head goon.

Thanks Sloan for the truth because it will always set you free lol

Sloan Bashinsky

In my experience, the truth seldom sets more than a few people free, the rest of the people fight the truth as if it is the Devil.
